**** Update *****
Again we would like to congratulate Zita on her accomplishment. This is recognition for all her hard work and dedication. This award is routinely given to groups as well as individuals for their accomplishments. This year Zita was the sole recipient in the “Support of Litigation” category. With that in mind we located a couple of the articles on her award as well as all the awards given to USDOJ people this year. This is an excerpt from such an article and contains the portion on her specific recognition:
“Zita Y. Johnson-Betts, Supervisory Attorney, Disability Rights Section, Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice, was also presented the John Marshall Award for Support of Litigation. Johnson-Betts was honored for outstanding leadership in the overall development, management and implementation of the Civil Rights Division’s testing program for compliance with the nondiscrimination requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act.“
