Building bridges between branches of the Arrington Family

November 25th, 2007

Welcome to the New Arrington.Org

Welcome,

Manuel Arrington Studio Shoot

I would like to welcome my family to www.Arrington.org.

It has been an interesting process of trying varying technologies to keep the family updated, informed and most importantly connected. This is the next step. I hope that this will be much easier for everyone to participate and content. Content is “King” and if everyone can’t add it easily the connection ends and is forgotten.

Continued Prayers For John Henry Jr.

IMGP9669.jpg

IMGP9652.jpg

The family ask that you continue to keep John Henry Jr. in your prayers. We have crossed the four month mark for his hospitalization.
On Saturday 8/9 my father took my bible and read a few pages from Genesis and a few pages from revelations. He drifted off into a peaceful and restful sleep which was well needed.
Candles continue to be lit in the name of this family. If you have a particular request you would like lifted up during the next lighting post them here or send them to webmaster@arrington.org.
Thank You

John Henry Arrington 7/31/08

DSC06632.JPG

Hey Family and Friends,
Pop is still Hospitalized but in pretty good spirits. Marvelle and I visited with him this evening. Pop is learning to get away from CNN and enjoy programming such as Law and Order. I think he is learning to appreciate comedies and games shows.
Thanks to Liz Banks and Treasure Arrington for making the journey here to Washington to visit.

Zita Ephron Says Hello

Joey at One Year OldMary Moore and LaMika MooreChristmas 2007Mr. Joey in getting ready for his promZita Ephron and Joey Ephron on Mexican Cruise 2004

My name is Zita Ephron. This is not the same Zita as the ordained minister. I am her niece. I have been married for 18 years and I have one son, Joey, who even though he is 21 years old, he is the light of my life. When I was 18, I decided that the best thing for me was to join the Army. I proudly served my Country for over 9 years and received many awards. Today, I currently work on Fort Carson, Colorado in the Casualty Assistance Center. This is a job that I thought I could never do, considering some of the tasks that I had to complete, but it has been the most rewarding jo9b that I have ever held.

My husband, Marvin, is currently a soldier in the US Army and is due to deploy for the third time to Iraq within the next month. Please send your prayers for his safe return.

My son, Joey, is 21 years old and is working for a company who does installation of DVD/CD equipment all over the US. Joey is at the time in his life where he is not sure what he wants to do with his future. He has recently thought of going to the East Coast to start a new life. I have told him that he has family there and they would be happy to show him the ropes.

I grew up in the Washington, DC area with my loving mother Mary Moore and my three (3) sisters. Mary is the daughter of John Arrington, Jr. and the sister of John, Marvell, Zita, John and Manuel Arrington. Mary may have had a hard and long life, but one thing has always remained constant with her. That is the love she has and always will have for her father, John Henry Arrington, Jr.

Many may think that we, the children of Mary, may not have had a good life, but let me be the first to dispel this for anyone. Mary is and always will be a strong woman. I remember seeing her going through things that no human should ever endure, but she did and she overcame. We, the daughters of Mary will always love and have the greatest amount of respect for the woman who did the best that she could for her children.

While I do not want to take anything from my grandfather illness nor his immediate family, I would like for every person who share this geanology to please send my mother, Mary, your condolences this weekend. The reason that I ask this is because, tomorrow, 26 July will be the 12th anniversary of the death of her youngest daughter and my sister’s death. Send a little note to let her know that she is in your thoughts.

My family thoughts are with my grandfather at this time in our life, but I thought that it may be okay for me to post some of our family photos at this time, so that we can have idea of who we are, since it has been a long time since the last meeting.

To my aunts and uncles, I want to say thank you and that we love you for what you have done to keep us in you thoughts as you all are in ours.

THERE IS NOTHING THAT CAN BREAK A FAMILY BOND AND WE NOW HAVE THAT.

With love and admiration.
